I hope you have all had a great Christmas and got lots of lovely crafting goodies. I have had some health problems which are still on going, but am getting there slowly, but have also had loads of computer problems, which is why I have been so quiet.

SILVER WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

Well Tim and I have reached our 25th Wedding Anniversary, when I think back I can honestly say that I never thought we wouldn't. My sister in law organised a lovely bouquet of flowers to arrive in the morning, which was a lovely suprise, just as well I was up and downstairs at the time lol. We actually celebrated with the children and my 'half brother' Peter (no relation just a very long standing friend who treats me like a sister) last Sunday when Christina put on a lovely spread which she baked from scratch most of the food. We had a lovely time chatting and drinking and playing games. Peter provided the Champagne ..... Elizabeth made us a lovely black photo frame which she has fashioned some silver flowers on opposite corners which just set it off beautifully, we need to get an up to date photo of us both in it. She has also been and ordered us a wooden garden bench which will arrive shortly, they say up to 28 days.... she thinks they are chopping down the tree then carving it from scratch LOL.

Last night on our actual anniversary day 12th July we had our last Brownies and Rainbows for this year. We enrolled 6 Rainbows and had a 'Silver' theme party where we all had to wear something silver. I also took all the cards we had received and the flowers too. They had some great fun trying to dress each other in tin foil LOL Me thinks that those photos are destined for the Pack Scrapbook LOL.

Later this evening I hope to get my photos sorted out from all the cards I have been making when I have felt up to it. I have a New Home, Get Well and Birthday cards to make for this next week, so will have to get cracking with those too.

I'm Still Here!

Hope you are all having a great Bank Holiday Weekend. Life has been a bit up and down recently which is why I haven't been around. Sorry for that.

Well we are now down to having just my little laptop for the whole family to use, it is amazing how long the kids can spend online with homework and 'other stuff'!

My oldest daughter has now got a puppy, who is absolutely gorgeous..... but because daughter works (thank goodness) she has only had an hours break for the last 2 nights, so we have taken the pup out for an hour to play and run around etc... the pup not me that is LOL. Unfortunately I am paying the price today, so didn't get to church.. BUT because I am at home watching C&C I have managed to get 2 Big 'n' Juicy ink pads on BOGOF.... yeahhhhhh I am a happy bunny!!!

Yesterday a friend from church gave me her old sewing machine, yes I know that is a heavy one, but it works and also has a load of embroidery stitches, (I think it will be a while before we get onto those stitches!) lol. Hannah has been badgering me into teaching her how to dressmake. Unfortunately I don't have much confidence in myself, yet! But Hannah was a very lucky girl to have been sent all 4 DVD's from Debbie Shore. Hannah has also saved her pocket money and yesterday we went and bought her material, a pattern for a simple elesticated skirt, and the elestic, so that when we have had a go at making the skirt out of old sheeting we can make it up in her lilac gingham.

Although I have been missing from here I have still been making cards for my MU ladies and family cards. We are in the middle of making some cards for a Coffee Morning we are having as a fund raiser for Branch funds later in June.

I have also got a new digital camera (thanks to another friend who is like family to us all deciding to get me it for all the missed birthdays and Christmass' that he didn't get me anything) and am doing a day course on Picasa this week, so am looking forward to using it properly and managing the photos better. So hopefully will take some photos of cards I still have.

Hope to catch up soon with the forums I go on as I have really missed chatting and being inspired by friends on there.

Well that is if for me for now as Hannah needs to come on to get her maths homework done.... not only do they get a book to work through but they are now set homework online... there is a lot of assumption that everyone now has access to a computer and the internet .... how education is changing!!

Bye for now.

HELP NEEDED

I know a lot of people use Digi stamps, and I have been wondering just how easy they are to use.

What weight of paper or card do you print on to and what do you use to colour them in with? I know promarkers are very popular but I am usually behind the times and don't actually own any, I have hinted at it as a possibility for a Christmas present, so will just have to wait and see if the words were heard, along with a hougie board, clarity stamps and dvd's, a big n juicy stamp pad *mountain and spice*, brayer, nesties *labels* or any type.... etc etc etc..... maybe I should just save up and then check on eBay lol.

Another question is are there any websites which you would reccommend to a complete beginner at digi stamping?

Something else I have been pondering on today is the use of flipping glitter.... I know I hate it, but I have decided that I have to use what I have or else get rid of it all, and it stands to reason that since I haven't given it a chance so far that I really should.

I have thought that I could use a peel off onto card then use some glue to fill in the areas and cover with glitter, if I did that what glue would be best to use? I will also have a go with using double sided tape in a more bolder style and use the glitter on that too.

What do you think, am I mad to even try these?

Anyway any help would be greatefully appriciated thanks.

Hope you are all keeping snug and warm in all this white stuff .... it is well past the time it should have gone, I think we have all just about had enough with it now.

3rd Dec

Well I continued with my craft mojo so went with the flow and made a few more Christmas cards destined for the Christmas Fair on the 4th Dec.

What do you think of these?
I didn't send the top card as I quite like that and Hanah pointed out I had put the backing paper on upside down....
I was also in two minds about the 3 Kings as I just love the colouring on that card.
